Crystal Waters is an ecovillage nestled in the upper Mary Valley of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, QLD, Australia. It is a beautiful and peaceful place where you can reconnect with nature, relax and unwind, find peace and quiet. It is a safe place where children can play and explore.
The village and it’s surrounding lands occupy 259 hectares of land. Around the site are national parks, clean rivers and streams and farms. Living here are approximately 220 people of all ages and backgrounds, and 16 different nationalities. At least 30 children live here, and many who grew up at Crystal Waters have returned to start their own families here.
It is the first village consciously designed using the principles of permaculture.
Crystal Waters was established in 1988.
